    Scene study is the heart of the class. Work as often as you are ready. We use classic plays and screen plays. The purpose is to become at ease in your acting. Ease takes rigorous work. When in deep water, become a diver

  • SCENE WORK

    The goal for scene work at the Asylum is exploration, to discover an experience outside your current knowing - not necessarily a finished performance. Do not let your considerations about "perfection" stop you.

  • THE ICE COLD READ EXERCISE

    The purpose of totally cold reads is to celebrate your impulses - to get familiar and confident with being out of your head and a little out of control. ‘If you’re not dangerous, you’re dead.’

  • MONOLOGUES & TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

  • AUDITION TECH

    You will receive sides via email at least 24 hours before the Audition tech class - as if I were your agent. You’ll perform while being filmed and will be able to view your footage at home.

  • WORKING ON CAMERA

    Use the class to help you book the job. Your industry auditions are a priority on the schedule. Fully prepare before class and then we'll work it so you're ready to do your best work.
